Dental Vouchers
Patients With Victoria Government’s dental vouchers – Dental at Forest Hill welcomes patients who receive vouchers and see them at the earliest.
We Welcome Patients With Vouchers
We accept Victoria Government’s dental voucher schemes:
- The Victorian Emergency Dental Scheme (VEDS)
- Victorian General Dental Scheme (VGDS)
- Victorian Denture Scheme (VDS).
Patients must bring the original voucher with them to their appointment.
Victorian Emergency Dental Scheme (VEDS)
Some community health centers and the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne offer VEDS vouchers. These vouchers entitle patients to government-subsidised emergency dental treatment at private dental clinics.
The following people are eligible for Victoria’s dental voucher schemes:
- People aged 18 years and over, who are health care or pensioner concession card holders or dependants of concession card holders
- All people in youth justice custodial care
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
- All refugees and asylum seekers.
Attention patients:
We accept the authorisation form under the Victorian Emergency Dental Scheme. When you contact us to make an appointment, please ensure that you inform us that you have a Victorian Emergency Dental Scheme form. Please present your VEDS voucher and the Practitioner Item Schedule to our dentist during your appointment. Please note that co-payments are required for each appointment. This payment is made directly to us.
However, VEDS funds may only be used for dental services and cannot be redeemed for cash. Vouchers issued under the Victorian Emergency Dental Scheme are valid for four weeks from the date of issue.
Victorian General Dental Scheme (VGDS)
What Is Victorian General Dental Scheme (VGDS)?
VGDS is a public dental scheme that provides both preventative and restorative dental care to eligible Victorians. The plan aims to make dental care more affordable for Victorians.
Occasionally, you may receive a voucher for private dental care if your local community dental practice is not able to provide you with primary dental care. The fee will be the same as if you visited a community dental clinic. Certain dental services may not be covered by the voucher. In such cases, you may have treatment at a private clinic, but the cost will be entirely your responsibility.
- The validity of vouchers is limited to six months from the date of issuance.
- Co-payments are required for each appointment.
- Maximum 4 appointments for each voucher.
Victorian Denture Scheme (VDS)
Dental At Forest Hill accepts patients who have a valid Victorian Denture Scheme (VDS) Voucher for prescribed denture treatments. The validity of VDS vouchers is six months. In the case of an expired voucher, the services stated on the voucher will not be provided to the patient.
- Dentures / Partial Denture may require co-payments. appointment.
Payment Options / Plans
Payment plans are essentially loans, which can support you in managing the high cost of dental treatment. Rather than paying for your dental work in an upfront lumpsum, a payment plan allows you to pay in instalments over a period of time. We have onboard, payment plan service providers who will make your payment plan’s instalments even more affordable.
There are several payment options available at our surgery including Cash, Cheque, EFTPOS, Credit Card, HICAPS, AMEX and Direct Deposit.
